Easy assembly, high quality, very good product

We bought a new foam bed-in-a-box mattress and spent a pretty penny on it. We wanted to put it up on a base so we could put plastic totes underneath it for added storage.This platform is great. Very good quality, I feel it will last a long time. It was easy for us to put together. I think it takes longer to unpack it than to assemble. They wrap each piece so it doesn't rub during shipping and scratch or damage it. Instructions were easy to follow and we had it together in less than 15 minutes with zero issues. Everything fit together well and it feels very sturdy. It doesn't move around or make any squeaks or sounds while on it.Our mattress fits on it perfectly, and the storage space underneath is awesome. We have a 12" high mattress, so it does sit up high but not too high and I like it. I am 5' 7" and it's perfect for me. Plus underneath you can store many different sized totes, boxes, baskets...whatever you want.

Study with 2 exceptions

4 stars becasue the metal slats don't fit as tight as I'd like, infact, one popped out when I was tucking the sheets. Also, I thought I'd like the metal guides on the side to keep the mattress from shifting would be nice but turns out they are not very effective and just get in the way of tucking fitted sheet. Otherwise, very solid frame and pretty easy assembly.

it's ok

Most of the pieces arrived extremely scratched, especially the tops of the corner posts; I don't know if it was a return or poorly packaged, or if those pieces never got the finish applied in those areas, but it's very noticeable. I ordered a queen in the 18" high, and I thought that meant there was 18" of clearance under the bed frame, but there isn't. Probably my mistake. There is only 16" of clearance under the bed frame for the 18" high version. It was too cumbersome to return, and by the time I saw the extent of the scratches, I knew I would never get it back in the box. So I finished building it. It is very quiet, no squeaks when tossing and turning. I have to say, it's very comfortable to sleep on. The side pieces that keep the mattress in place work very well for me, even though my mattress is quite tall. I didn't need any extra things to hold the mattress in place. Keep in mind, there is no real way to put a bed skirt on this- I had to cut a bunch of holes in mine to make it work, fine with me, but something I didn't think about beforehand.
