Not real marble but solidly built for the price

This is a good quality table. However, it’s NOT real marble, it’s a white cement material fused with a glass top that has a “marble print” in between. I bought this table because I believed the review stating the marble authenticity, only to find that it’s just a well-done fake. That said, I kept the table because it looks good and it fits my needs perfectly. The glass-cement fusion top probably won’t be as durable as a marble top. If I needed it for long term, I would be returning and looking for something better. Lastly, the shade of gold used is more tacky than modern, but an easy fix if you’re crafty and willing to spend a few bucks and minutes in a project.

Quality Table. Will last a lifetime.

This review is for the HYYTEIBL 27.5" Round Marble Top Dining Table, White Stone Top, Black and Brushed Gold Pedestal Base. I've had this table for a week. It's a winner!First of all, the table top is not real marble folks-not at that price. It is "sintered" stone. A man-made stone crafted from heating natural minerals, quartz, marble, silica, and clay. Sintered stone is durable, non-porous, and scratch-resistant. It is also heat-resistant and can endure heat up to 1200 C /2192 F. A hot pan from the oven can sit directly on the table top without causing any damage to the stone!! These qualities do not make sintered stone indestructible. It should be treated with the respect it deserves.In comparison to pure marble, a natural product, the stone is soft, delicate, and porous. And because of these characteristics it stains easily and is prone to scratches. Especially, if the marble is honed (unpolished or matt finish). Real marble must be sealed every 2 years to protect the delicate stone.Furthermore, because marble is a natural stone the coloration and vein patterns cannot be manipulated. This explains why some marble slabs are heavily veined and unattractive, while others are modest in color and vein patterns. This is one of the main reasons why Carrera marble is more expensive than other marble because of its monotone color and moderate vein patterns.The sintered stone top of this table is a beautiful glossy sheen with a soft reflective quality. The table top is primarily white with gray veins that are subtle and classy similar to real Carrera Marble or a man-made Quartz. And, because the stone is man-made the colors and veins in each piece are controlled revealing a perfect stone every time.The base I selected was the black and brushed gold. The black is a matt finished-not powder coated- and the gold is muted. Brushed gold appears darker than high-polished gold and enmity a totally different look.The bottom base has thick rubber pads protectors on the feet to prevent scratching floors. To accommodate uneven or sloped floors simply unscrew the feet counterclockwise to lengthen to the desired height.The base is very sturdy; supports the weight of the stone well. No wobbling or shifting, and the stone top is securely attached with 4 screw and washers. Unlike other products the stone is secured with sticky pads. A sign of poor construction.The stone table is easy to assemble. It took me 10 minutes, no instructions needed. It’s fairly simple. After assembly, flip the table over and set it in your desired position. This table is not that heavy that one person cannot handle by themselves. I weigh 90lbs and found the assembly process extremely easy.Under the stone top is a mounting board with holes to attach the top of the base. Do not confuse this mounting board to infer the table is made of MDF. It is not! This method is best to secure and protect the stone. Unlike other products that use sticky pads or glue the stone directly to its base. Be aware of “faux marble" tables made from MDF. Those will last a few months at best. They run $115-$300 for this size table. Read the description folks! If it doesn't mention any of the characteristics of sintered stone or it can't support 230-330 lbs do not buy it.Let's discuss the practicalities of this table. At 28.5 inches high it is a comfortable height for the average person. The 27.5 inch round table is comfortable for dinner for 2. There is room for 10" round dinner plates, 4" and 6" round bread and salad plates, beverage glasses and silverware. It's perfect for small spaces/apartment living. Round tables allow for room to walk around and give the illusion of a larger space.I placed two curved low-profile, velvet cream/ivory standard size dining chairs; well cushioned and padded with high-gloss gold splayed legs. They complement the table nicely. I preferred a 30 inch table, but the matt black and brushed gold base was my only design option close to what I needed. A tulip table base on this table would have been nicer.My final thoughts: I 100% recommend this table for its quality of materials, structure, and design options from formal to modern.A special thanks to the seller for being patient answering numerous detailed questions. Small, Attractive, & Heavy Table

I am not completely convinced that this is actual marble. But it is nice, attractive and each of the pieces of the table are solid.The top of the table is a round glossy white surface with very light veining and looks pretty when looking at it from the top. However, the sides are finished unlike any other marble item that I have ever seen or owned. They are smooth, but do not have the feel of marble that I am accustomed to.The spider (support arms area) that appears right underneath the top of the table is strong and sturdy.The column (leg) of the table is mix of black and gold. The top portion of the column is a smooth matte black metal finish. While the bottom of the column also connects with the base is a gold satin metal finish.The base of the table is sturdy, although it is slightly wobbly.There are no instructions provided, no information on how to care for the table, and no information that actually list the material content of the table.The table was packed adequately. However, there were dozens of tiny messy Styrofoam pieces to clean up once the table parts were taken out of the box.Assembly was basic, and even without instructions, my son was able to figure it out and assemble it in about ten minutes. Also, there are no additional tools required as there are basic tools included that make the assembly process easy.Overall, it is a small, heavy, and attractive looking table that could function well in a variety of settings from dining to a desk area.

It did not come with assembly instructions, but it was very easy to figure out. Once assembled, I love how beautiful it is! It looks just as described. I was surprised as it was a real marble top, I thought it was going to be resin/imitation.

Nice authentic piece, pictures dont do it any justice.

Impressive~! I didn't expect it would be this good. I thought the marble top would be thin and kind of spindly for the price. I live right next to a marble town where they mine it naturally, and it's still a high-priced commodity. So I was surprised that it was as thick and big around as it is. The base is very sturdy. It's wide and isn't wobbly or top-heavy in the least. I'm not crazy about the color of the metal pedestal base, but that's an easy fix. I like that the edges are beveled and smooth. And that it's a REAL MARBLE STONE top. Not fake epoxy or grown in a lab, like almost everything is nowadays. The colors are natural-looking and authentic. I think the price is fair for what it is.
