Unique Bookshelf with Design and Assembly Quirks

"No assembly required" was a misleading line to include in the images for this product. In retrospect, I think that part of the listing refers only to the LED lighting, but as a result of that line I thought this bookshelf was somehow collapsible or at least easy to put together and take down again. Not so. Assembly was difficult and frustrating, especially with only 1 person.Once it's put together, it is a decent bookshelf - with some quirks. I very much wish it was easier to rotate in place, like a rotating bookstore shelf; because it is on casters, it can be rotated, but this is awkward in practice. I also did not realize that the shelves are not actually sub-divided in the middle; instead, they're each just a flat plastic slab. As a result, you need to completely fill a shelf with books in order for the books to stand up reliably, as each row ends up holding up another.Ultimately, these are flaws/quirks in the product's design for my particular use case, so I can't knock it too much for them. This bookshelf might be for you if you're looking for a unique way to display books, media, or maybe collectibles you'd want to light with angled LEDs. Just look closely first at how it's designed and think about whether it's right for your needs.

Poor instructions, but lightweight & mobile

This is a really great idea for a bookshelf. Unfortunately, it is lacking in some of the more critical areas of execution such as tools and most importantly, adequate instruction for installation. The pictures are great, but none of the parts are labeled so it’s really important that you understand the intended direction of the lights, which shelf is the top and bottom (it matters significantly). With proper instructions, this shelf should only take 20 minutes to build but took me an hour. Plus, the wrench provided to hold the nuts while you tighten the screws does not fit the nuts. It’s useless for this build. Lastly the instructions tell you which directions to put the lights, but in the end, install them how you want to use the display. You can tell in my picture that the alternating directions for the lights as suggested in their instructions does not work for my needs. The lights are pretty frustrating to use.Some really great features exist on this shelf. The acrylic screens and plastic shelves makes it EXTREMELY lightweight. Add that with the rollers, it’s very mobile and smooth to move from place to place. The wheels have locking mechanisms so it doesn’t roll around when you need it to be stationary. In addition, the lights are removable and rechargeable, but are unfortunately held up by pretty cheap and awkwardly sized magnets.Overall, I like this shelf and think it has a lot of potential to be a good display shelf for collections/ books/ etc. However, it’s just not there yet and needs some effort for improvement by the seller/ manufacturer.

Simple set up, rechargeable lights- gorgeous!

This is absolutely stunning- it arrived quickly & was packaged in the most organized way I’ve ever received any furniture/shelving. The lights have a magnetic attachment and even come with some angle bars to insert if you want the lighting to angle down at a 45° angle instead of straight. I love the thick acrylic the display walls are made of, they shipped them in protective foam like it was glass, but these guys can absolutely topple to the floor and be just fine. My husband had it all put together in about 20m, including the lights and he said it was super straight forward. The lights didn’t seem to arrive charged, so definitely charge them before mounting. They are rechargeable & the piece comes with a short charger cord for each light. It does collect fingerprints pretty easily but they wipe right off & that’s to be expected with this style of display shelf. The casters on the bottom have a lock on a couple of them, so you can have it mobile and roll around or lock it in place if you don’t want it to be able to move. You DO have to have it unlocked to rotate it, the shelf itself can be rotated, wheels and all- it’s not like those spinning shelves you see in stores sometimes. Great shelf, high quality construction & reasonable price for the style/material.

Stylish, Functional, and Surprisingly Spacious

I was surprised by how tall this 5-tier bookshelf is once it’s fully put together—it’s much taller than I expected, but in a good way. It holds a ton of books and still has plenty of room for displaying other items, which I love. The clear sides with the black shelves give it a really modern look that stands out.I love the built-in lighting, it adds such a nice touch, especially in the evening. The only downside is the stick-on magnets—they’re not the strongest, so I’d recommend using a better adhesive or tape to keep everything securely in place.Assembly was a bit frustrating at times. The nuts for the screws are really small, and since it doesn’t come with a wrench to hold them in place, it took some extra patience to get everything tightened properly. That said, I really appreciated that it came with multiple extra screws and nuts—definitely helpful since those tiny pieces are easy to lose.Overall, once it’s set up, it’s a really eye-catching and functional piece. Between the storage space, mobility with the wheels, and the lighting feature, it’s a great addition to any room.
