Background: We are sleeping in a queen size cot for an extended period of time. We gave up on the air mattress because we can feel each others movement and have the constant sensation of rolling off the edge which doesn’t make for a restful night, even with a 2” mattress topper. We gave up on the air mattress and got a 4” memory foam mattress to use with the topper but we could still feel the characteristic center dip notorious with cots.Solution: :We ordered a similar folding board product made of pressed board that unfolded horizontally from head to foot but unfortunately did not hold up well. The press board arrived with crushed corners. We sandwiched it between the topper and memory foam mattress on top but they flexed over time from weight, even with the topper below. They also left wood dust on the topper.These BBX-G 'Folding Box Spring pads are enclosed in a zippered case. The boards inside are rigid cardboard like plastic so they’re very light and rigid. They come in 2 sections which makes them easy to manage and transport. Each section unfolds horizontally from side to side which leaves a fold-dip down the center of the body. We installed it on top of the pressboards and finally I can wake without the aches and pains from sleeping on a cot.These are a better option to the press board type. They have a no skid bottom to help keep them from sliding. Since they fold in the middle of the body I would only recommend these if you have a rigid flat base. I also recommend these for light use because the seam gave while tugging lightly on one side,
