Durable, Multi-Functional, Easy to Transport and Use, Drawing Board/Drafting Table
The QIJAA Drawing Board Drafting Table will be a useful addition to my son’s tool kit. He is a pipe fitter by trade and works with blueprints and drawings when he is on the job. The Rapid A3 is a Multifunctional Drawing Board Table with a Clear Rule Motion and Angle Adjustable Measuring System, based on Inches measurement scale. My son works in hospitals installing pipe, and he uses drawings to fit the lengths and angles of many types of metal pipes involved in gas and liquid transport. He will be able to use the drawing board/drafting table to confirm blueprints and add his own estimates of angles and lengths of pipe, often in tight spaces. My son is also an artist and he will be able to draw/paint with paper and canvas held in place by 2 full length board clips (the top of the board and 1 side). The kit includes a drafting table, a protractor, a straightedge ruler that can be locked in place with 2 yellow push buttons, an L-shaped drafting square, a rapid set square, a multiple circle template, and a permanently lubricated straight edge track that allows for smooth guided movement and adjustment of the tools. All the clear plastic tools have easy to read numbers. The board can sit flat on a table with 2 non-skid rubber feet on the bottom. Also, there are two non-slip tilt table support feet that raise the back of the board for a comfortable work angle. The tools and drafting board can be packed all together in the included sturdy carton with a built-in handle for easy storage and transportation. The white heavy duty plastic table is very sturdy lying flat and has 2 removable legs that tilt it at a workable angle on any flat surface. The dimensions are 20.1 inches wide by 14.6 inches tall by .25 inch thick. The weight of the kit in its carrying case is 2.76 pounds. Good Beginner Drafting Board.
I ordered this drafting table board to better sketch out home projects, but also to design quilts. It's nice, and functions as intended, but it's not a very robust or stable set up.I do like the accuracy of it. All of the lines, measurements, angles, etc, are very accurate as measured by other more professional tools, and I have confidence that any drawings I completed would be to the correct scale when used.It's lightweight and when coupled with the box it came in (which has a carrying handle) I can carry it anywhere making it securely portable. Along the left and bottom edges is a clamping mechanism to secure the paper to the table, and it stays put. This is especially useful when utilizing a paper smaller than the full table size. If you were to use a full size paper, there is also a corner notch in the top right to further secure large sheets.The only issue I found with this set is that it's not very stable if I don't use it in a very careful manner. The ruler fits into guided slots on the left and right, or can be turned and fit into a slot on the bottom, but there is no corresponding slot on the top. So when used in this orientation, it is not as secure. When used left/right, the ruler has locking mechanisms on either side to secure it to the board. It's not hard to dislodge those locking tabs from the board however, which is a little frustrating.The set comes with two tilting stands, allowing you to tilt the board up in a more drafting table style angle - and there are two different heights to choose from, other than flat. The board is actually more stable with these titers installed, as they have better non-slip rubber pads on them than the table itself.I'm not usually a gentle user of tools like this, so the table doesn't quite fit my needs for stability, but if I were easier on it (as most people probably are) it would be a very good beginners drafting board. I cannot fault the manufacture for this though.At $50 I don't know that it's a GREAT value, but there are better sets that cost a lot more money than this. So I would say it's a proper price point for what you get.

The QIJIAA A3 Drawing Board Drafting Table Multifunctional Drawing Board Table is as described.First the box (carton ) it came in was ripped. Not the box it was shipped in, the actual product box. The box was in a bigger amazon box with no packing paper, so not sure if it was that, but Pretty sure the damage is not from shipping. Not a big deal unless planning on gifting, but it should have been in better condition since according to the description:"They are all packed together in a carton for easy storage and transportation."Second whoever wrapped mine in the shrink wrap didn't do a great job because items shifted and my protractor cracked in one spot."Made of hard plastic" is right. which is my third point I think It's too hard & possible too thin and I feel like any pressure will crack it.Don't get me wrong I think this is very nice for beginners or people who occasionally need a simple Drawing Board. It would make a great gift for a student.As for the price, oh boy. When I requested this item it was $59.99, it currently $49.99 and offering a $5 coupon, so $44.99. My opinion may not mean anything, I have never bought a drawing board before, but the quality of the plastic of the board itself, to me, is not pro. I would say this would be ok if in the $30s maybe even less.

This is a great board for artists, architects, and anyone who uses a pencil. The board is flat and rigid, making it the perfect surface. It has a lot of useful features for drawing straight, precise lines. It has pop-up panels on the left and bottom sides for holding papers in place. It has an adjustable ruler that can be locked into place for making straight lines. It includes a couple of legs so you can work at an angle. And if all that weren't enough, it includes an adjustable L-shaped ruler, a tool for drawing curves and circles, and a triangle. This is a must-have for those who draft and draw.
