These stools look better than I was expecting. Very sturdy and are the perfect height for my island. I ordered the Matte Black 24". Was very easy to assemble. Once I saw the seating area size I thought it might not be wide enough, but it is. Highly Recommend very good value
I am 300 lbs. I had a car accident resulting in a back injury so standing at length is difficult. I had been using a wooden stool in my kitchen to sit on when doing dishes, cooking, cleaning, etc. But my weight was too much for it. The joints became loose and it started teetering. I almost fell off a few times. I re-glued everything several times, but it would start to break again. I decided to just invest in something that would hold my size. Metal stools are expensive! I searched for a couple months for something quality but affordable. Then I found these! I couldn't be happier. They are so sturdy. My weight seems to be no impact on them at all. They stay put on the floor, no sliding. They are very stylish with matte black paint, and a middle slotted hole to move easily. Plus I got two with this deal, so now I have one for another area and I don't have to lug the kitchen one around the house. The big bonus was the price for these two were less than the cost of one with many companies. I am very pleased!
We have a large counter-height kitchen table. The chairs that were originally purchased with it as part of a set had leather seat pads. 3 kids and 2 cats later, the leather was destroyed, and we chose to purchase new seats as opposed to going through the hassle of getting them re-upholstered. Plus, even if we didn't go with leather, any fabric we chose would eventually be destroyed yet again by kids and cats.I decided I wanted to go with metal bar stools, since these would withstand more punishment than fabric and wood. We also wanted ones that had backs on them, since our kids are young and squirmy and would without a doubt fall off a backless stool the first night of using them. We initially purchased 6 of these, since that's how many chairs we were replacing. But because these are smaller than our previous chairs, we found we would actually be able to comfortably fit 8 people around the table, so we bought two more.I love these chairs. Free shipping and they came fast! They were very easy to assemble, and my 3 y/o boy had a blast using the allen wrench to help put them together. Out of 8 chairs, only 1 is slightly wobbly, but nothing worth replacing. The color is as expected based on the pictures. I like that the backs are low - they come up about as high as our table top. Our previous chairs had high-backs, and they made that part of the kitchen feel more closed off. With our house, dining area included, being pretty small, the low backs open up the view around the kitchen table and make the space seem larger.The only feature I wish these chairs had was the ability to stack them. I wouldn't mark them down a star for that, since I knew they didn't stack before purchasing, but it would be a nice bonus. I run the Roomba every day while at work, and it can sometimes get under the chairs, but with the small footprint, it often gets stuck under there. I would like to be able to stack them and move them out of the way easier for the Roomba to clean under the table, but still, it's not at all a deal-breaker for these. I would buy more of these again in a second if I needed more.
Let's go through the positives... for the price of these barstools I had low expectations, they are not going to be crate n barrel quality. I have 2 boys who destroy everything so expensive is a waste around here. I am pleasantly surprised! So the upsides...1. Super easy to assemble took me about 20 minutes to put together 4 while feeding a toddler and they are light weight!2. Look super cute in my farmhouse kitchen renovation, truly matte black3. Easy to clean up after my kids, soap and water approved!4. Tall barstools!5. Came well packagedA few down falls...1. The seats itself is pretty small. My kids fit perfect, I'm 5'1 115lbs and I fit comfortably on it, my husband who is 5'10 185lbs is okay on it for short periods but my dad who is 5"11 270lbs can barely get a thigh on it and questioned its ability to hold him up. (I never checked the weight limit)2. They make your but hurt after about 10-15 minutes so I'll end up buying some cushions to go on them.Overall I am impressed with these inexpensive barstools! I was expecting complete crap and got 4 gems that can withstand my 2 wild boys. The reviews had me weary of the quality but I went for it and am happy I did! Like I said they are not going to be the same as the expensive designer ones so if thats what you want then stop looking at $99 barstools. If you want cute and versatile and don't mind the small seat then these will do the trick!
This product looks good, and they are sturdy and also easily to assemble. Unfortunately if you have a medium -large bottom, this is a very uncomfortable seat. We actually ended up taking the backs off and using them as stools. If you’re not planning on sitting on the chair for an extended period of time it’s great. But if you’re there for more than 20 minutes …. You may regret it.
