Quality is fine. Wood is finished decent so it looks fine. Easy to assemble. It is not super wide, but holds 5 pair of shoes. The hidden storage under the bench is a nice touch. I am 170 pounds and it is solid when I sit on the bench. I would recommend.

I’d give it no stars if I could.This bench is advertised as supporting up to 286 lbs for seating. That claim does not reflect real-world use.There is no center reinforcement beneath the seat. The upholstered top spans a hollow storage cavity and appears to be supported only by the outer rectangular frame. When weight is applied over the middle section, the panel flexes because there is no cross brace underneath.My 30 lb toddler knelt on the bench and the seat cracked internally. This was not rough use — just normal kneeling. The crack is beneath the fabric upholstery, but the structural failure is clearly felt through the surface.A bench marketed for sitting should tolerate uneven and concentrated weight across the entire seating surface, not only directly over the frame rails. The lack of center support makes the advertised weight capacity misleading.I would not recommend this product, especially for households with children. The design prioritizes hollow storage space over structural reinforcement.
It's very lightweight and feels like it could break easily. The pieces don't fit together perfectly and there were no holes to indicate where to attach the hinges to the bench, which makes it tricky to put together. The bench cushion also fits tightly into the two ends of the bench, so it's tricky to open. It has enough space for five pairs of shoes and the storage under the bench is convenient. The cushion is comfy and, although it doesn't feel like the individual pieces are very strong, it seems to support weight enough for sitting down and putting your shoes on. For the cost, I'd maybe look at other options or possibly something used.
Overall, this item was all right. It is lightweight and small enough for a place that is small or narrow. We didn’t want something full size where we had to walk around or bump into it. If you are on the larger size, it is not recommended, though it is fairly sturdy. It has a cushioned seat that raises for storage space to tuck away dog leashes, or a small flashlight, or keys, if you like. I gave it four stars because there was some damage to some of the pieces see photos. For three people, it doesn’t seem like there’s enough space for all of our shoes because we have a pair or two plus indoor slippers (but could be enough), though the slots are not big enough for ankle boots or hightop sneakers or hiking boots, though there is a space for those styles, but limited to one pair. I would say it should be closer to $30-39 and not $59.
