Mid century look and versatile storage.

This shelf was relatively easy to assemble despite having a few steps and it took a little more than one episode of Gilmore Girls (or roughly an hour) to build. The package comes with all the tools you need like a allen wrench and screwdriver, but the included Phillips head screwdriver was too short to get the leverage needed to drive the screws into the back panel, as the designated holes were quite shallow. A longer screwdriver (and a little extra muscle) did the trick.The shelf is a bit shorter than I expected. It works well in an office or children's bedroom, but felt underwhelming in my living room with its high ceilings. I appreciate that each cubby unit is the same with the same backing so you can move the drawers as you like, you can cluster them all on one side or mix and match positioning. Unfortunately the drawers are not standard cube size and have a special cover that gives them a more finished, less fabric-like look, so finding additional drawers that fit and match down the road could be a challenge.The legs give the piece a cool mid-century modern feel that elevates it well beyond a standard white bookshelf.

You can put the bins in all on one side or stagger them. It really gives you room to make this personal to you and your needs. This one didn't last too long in the living room after I put it together, since my son came and decided it belonged in his room for his books. I will definitely be ordering another for my personal use. This bookcase is sturdy and strong. It went together fast and easy. I especially liked who the shelving pieces just slid into each other. It took less than 30 mins to assemble this. It included all I needed to assemble and even included a pair of gloves. I am more than happy with this bookcase.
