Correct size for my vanity

I chose this stool because it was the best value for a classic-looking vanity. At 17 inches tall, it sits at the same height as my dining room chairs - that is the proper size for a standard desk or vanity. I have a refinished antique vanity and mirror, which are both painted with dark chalk paints (slate blue and charcoal grey). The dark brown leatherette material of the stool compliments the vanity set up well, completing the dark academia look. Despite being low-cost, this vanity is solid and sturdy once you install the legs. The installation was easy and didn't require any tools. I don't remember if the item pictured had hairpin legs or solid wood legs, but the product I received has solid wood legs (that suits my aesthetic best, so I'm satisfied). I find the seat to be firm and supportive. The storage area inside the seat is an added bonus. I haven't decided what to put there yet.
