Easy to assemble, easy to use
My one minor annoyance with this product is that the listing pics carefully arrange the plushies in a way that suggests there are three distinct levels within the unit. There aren’t; it’s just a single tall compartment, though this doesn’t much affect actual usage.The individual components have several categories of pieces that are very similar but not quite the same. The instruction booklet sorted this out, though— very clear diagrams that were easy to follow. Note that they do not include any extra pieces, unless you count the optional felt pads and wall-anchor nails, so keep track of the screws and bolts and things. The wood isn’t fancy, but it’s smooth and feels solid, and hey, it’s real wood. The elastic cables threaded through and tied off with no problems. They have good elasticity and securely hold things inside without offering annoying resistance when you want to pull something out.I’m actually using this for my kids’ clothes, not toys. It keeps them off the floor. (The clothes, not the kids. Nothing keeps the kids off the floor.) I haven’t anchored it yet, but it seems pretty stable and doesn’t have a big footprint for the storage volume. I’m pleased with it and might get another one.

Everything about this product was incorrect. The wrong amount of every single piece was shipped, some things had way too many, others not enough. Also all of the cuts were entirely backwards so I had to assemble it completely different just to make it work. There were such incorrect parts I could only build it three units high instead of four because they only sent 9 (odd number for something that needs 4 for each level) posts. Do not buy this product!

For children who won't use it as a climbing frame
This stuffed animal zoo is an interesting way to store medium-sized-or-larger stuffed animals (smallest dimension > 3.5"). The "cage" does not work for smaller stuffed toys because they will fall out between the bars.The zoo comes flat-packed. It is easy enough to put together but quite often you have to use common sense to fill in the gaps in the assembly instructions. The big thing for which there is no guidance is how much tension to put in the elastic cords that make up the vertical bars of the cage.The wall anchors supplied for attaching the zoo to the wall looked inadequate so I didn't use them. Fortunately it is easy enough to buy something better from the hardware store.Assembled, the zoo looks nice. I did worry that it might not be suitable for younger children because of the elastic cords and the worry about it collapsing if they climb on it. The cage is sturdy enough that they might think they can get away with it.The elastic cords work well as a technique to keep the animals contained but allow easy retrieval. Throwing stuffed animals into the top from across the room is apparently a fun game.With caveats this is a good solution. I have recommended it to friends with teenage kids but I wouldn't recommend it to everybody.

Corral all the stuffed animals while keeping them accessible!
We'd had one of those net things for ages in the corner/ceiling of my kids' room but it was hard to get to the buddies in the back and I was worried about damage when it got yanked on.I was a little concerned that my kid would view this "zoo" as more like a "jail" for his buddies but instead he loves it. He and his big brother (12) assembled the entire thing by themselves which was pretty impressive and speaks to the ease of assembly.The wood is nice quality, as are the ropes. They're sturdy enough that they even held in a larger weighted stuffed dog and yet flexible enough that they can stretch to let you reach in and pull out the stuffed animal you want.As for size, it's smaller than I expected given the photos but holds a surprising number of small and medium sized stuffed animals. If you put even ONE of those big squishmallows in there, it'll take up half the "zoo" but we were able to get all but his largest stuffed animals in there, and he has a LOT.It comes with anchors so you can secure it with adhesive and straps to the wall without having to drill a hole, which is great.It's a little pricey but I can understand what's driving the price after seeing the real wood and high-quality materials.This is an awesome way to corral all the stuffed animals while keeping them accessible!
