Just what I needed
I had previously looked at these stools and when the price dropped a bit, I decided that they were for me. I am very pleased with them. They are very sturdy and comfortable.Assembly was pretty easy, but my only problem was that you couldn't use any power tools because everything is put together with allen head screws and the clearance on almost everything was nil. I can be tiring on your hands especially if you have more than one to assemble. It took me about an hour to 1 1/2 hours to assemble 2 stools.I've had the chairs for weeks now, and there are no signs of any loosening of the bolts, or problems with the swivel mechanism. The nylon pads on the stool leg bottoms slide nicely on my wood flooring and don't scratch. They don't tip easy either, great for smaller ones to climb into. They are the exact right height for a countertop height island. They feel really well put together and have a look of much pricier models.The color is definitely black on the cushions themselves, and a dark burnished brown on the stool assembly.

These are dark brown, not black but CAN look black in certain light/angles
Ok so I received 3 of these today(arriving at different times). They were pretty easy to assemble and besides being short a few washers, every piece lined up and went together quite easily. Now, I have included a couple of photos of my previous barstools that were unfortunately too high for my current counter, hence the need for these. The amazon description, and the box they came in says these stools are BLACK, I disagree. Next to my ACTUAL black stools, these look dark brown...even asking my husband, "what color do these look like to you?" when he came into the room seeing them for the first time he said "dark brown"....he also said, 'I like'm they're nice." in the same sentence...so. Overall these look pretty high end/nice quality, they swivel all the way around, have high backs and I had really no issues with them being banged up or damaged in transit, they were packaged pretty securely. I must have looked at thousands, not kidding, thousands of stools before I finally pulled the trigger on these. As for longevity, I don't know yet but I'll tell you, I LOVED my previous stools (they are vintage high quality, valued at $1100.00+ I found at a bargain from someone who didn't realize what he had) I did not want new ones and now have high standards when it comes to stools, but I do like these new ones I ordered, they seem to be good weight and are not wobbly, I expect they will uphold to our daily use and look like they will easily wipe down if needed. If this changes, i will update my review.

Sturdy furniture
I bought 2 30 inch bar stools. They are very high end quality wood and leather look seating. Furniture store quality.The back is padded so it does not Mar when hit against bar.Many screws and parts to assemble but worth laying out all your parts and taking the time to assemble. Heavy wood , big seat and comfortable.

Six years of daily use and still LOVE this stool
Below may be my initial review after purchasing this stool 6 years ago. Now, six years later I can say I am STILL VERY HAPPY WITH THIS STOOL! I use it every day. The most I've had to do is adjust the screws of the seat after a squeak that occurred several year after purchase. Screws adjusted, squeak stopped, back to normal use.I needed a stool for a counter height desk space in my kitchen. This stool was very easy to put together. Looks great! Sturdy. Comfortable. No complaints. Very happy with this stool!

Good Quality But Uncomfortable For Long Sits

High Quality and VERY Sturdy! Should probably cost more!
I’ve been through at least two dozen bar stools and counter stools over the years. It’s simply a matter of wear and/or decor changes. I was a little hesitant to spend a bit extra on these but I’m thrilled I did. My husband put them together and said “how much did you pay for these? These are the sturdiest ones yet!” I paid less than he expected. The seats are firm, yet very comfortable. I sit with one leg under me frequently because I’m so short so it’s great that the seat is firm enough yet doesn’t hurt my ankle when I sit on it. The legs are extremely sturdy and even/level so they do not wobble at all! I find THAT amazing after so many different ones over the years. Hubby says high quality parts and could easily support some that’s 300 pounds (I’m 130 he’s 196) he would bet. No missing parts or damage anywhere because the packing was done well. Got them next day after ordering! Couldn’t be happier! Excellent product! Would buy again as gift or if I needed additional stools!
