Perfect for storing pet supplies
Well made. Perfect for pet food storage and a great place to feed the cats while keeping cat food elevated and away from where our rabbit can reach. Fast shipping and rustic looking. This chest really ties our DIY cat wall elements together. The most impressive thing is the non-skid rubber feet. We have a tile floor and this trunk is the only piece of furniture that doesn’t slide or ‘wander’ on our tile floor. It stays securely where it should be. I also love the lid mechanism. It prevents the lid from slamming down but is super easy to open and close.

Mediums size trunk purchased in the warehouse. Trunk came ALMOST fully assembled. Due to defect, the side and lid were not attached. If you buy a full price, I’m not sure if this trunk is fully assembled.I am giving 5 stars because of the price and look. I purchased in the warehouse for a steal, but the trunk had issues:-The top was not attached, but had been-the side was also not attached, but had beenI nailed the side and top (I need more nails for the side)I read the reviews prior to purchase:THE NOISE, is a bracket that holds the lid in place so it doesn’t slam down. When you open or close it clicks, that’s it.THE WOOD, is authentic so there will be some flaws, that’s what makes it niceTHE SMELL, mine did not have a smell.I do believe it was put together poorly, and you may need to reinforce with common household nails.OVERALL, descent size trunk with aged look, value for the money if you can get in the warehouse.*I use the trunk for storage of my supplies and staging pics on top. The little things pic on trunk are florals and mine so please disregard*

Galvalume side panels ARE the side panels - not sheathing over wood.
I really like the design concept of this chest. No assembly necessary; it comes as it appears in the product listing. The combination of rich wood grain, juxtaposed with the industrial edge of the galvalume, merges the aesthetic of two worlds quite nicely. It's sturdy enough to secure about 100 or so lbs of various items. However, I wouldn't load it like a Hope Chest, with the way the primary structural materials are composed. Rather than adding the galvalume as an accent sheathing, they fashioned the wooden framework of the of the chest, and used the galvalume to cap/close the 4 side planes, INSTEAD of wood panels. I can't quite tell how the sheets are mounted/fastened, but I'm being mindful of how much weight is resting against them from within. It feels like a big price tag for a chest that has this lack of structural integrity. Everything feels assembled securely, though; as I was able to lift and carry this chest to it's current position in my living space, without causing the unit to flex or collapse anywhere. Lots of space for storage within, and it looks AMAZING. Overall, I'm quite happy with the product itself, even if it seems a bit expensive for how it's designed, structurally.

Cheap, flimsy, and arrived broken.
This arrived with a giant crack in the top and is very lightweight and flimsy. Because it is not convenient to return or exchange items like this, I suppose I am stuck with it. I deeply regret wasting this amount of money on such a shoddy and substandard product.

Ok...but not great.
I spent hours trying to find a box by the door we can throw shoes in. Tried one but so flimsy it broke getting it out of the package.Here is the just of the box...Pros...does look decent, sturdier than others I have tried, after I removed the bar hinge that allowed it to open at different heights-see below, it worked great. Overall, I am pleased and would buy another one.Cons...not so sturdy you could throw in tools, drills, etc. etc. Works great for clothing, small toys, shoes etc.The stress hinge that is supposed to allow the lid to open at different heights is worthless. It has a terrible popping sound, and does not work for 'half open' anyway. I did find however, if I removed the side hinge...easily done, the top opened great...really, it works better without the side hinge. Sooo much better than the vinly covered storage boxes that I bought from AmazonTwo month update. The box is still working great by the door for shoe storage. As mentioned earlier, the side hinge made a terrible popping sound...but easily removed, back hinges work great. Would recommend for light to moderate storage needs. Have tried all types of vinyl storage boxes....the wooden easy to open and shut wins by far. I would buy another down the road if needed. Worth the money for storage that people will see in open areas.
