Sturdy Bench With A Lot Of Storage And A Nice Cushioned Seat
This Shoe Bench has a nice variety of possibilities for storage and a quite comfortable cushioned seat.It was pretty straightforward to assemble with only a few steps and nice pictures to make it intuitive to know where things have to go.Conveniently, the middle shelf can be moved to 3 different height positions in case you want to have equal spaced shelves below or one needs more room than the other. For example, taller boots on a more spacious shelf versus flat sandals on the other shelf.The hinge that opens the seat is strong and stays open when opened. There is an 'H' shaped separator that can go in the middle under the seat to help separate what will be stored. In my opinion, it feels that this is important for structure to help strengthen it for holding higher amounts of weight. Personally, I'm going to keep it in there just in case. It does offer 4 nice sized compartments where I plan to store my socks.If the floor is slightly uneven or the bench ends up not being level for some reason, there is a peg that can screw in and out of each leg to remedy that if needed.I sat on the bench and it comfortably held my weight.

It has 2 levels of shoe storage (or whatever you want to store on the shelves). The upper level has 3 different vertical positions so you can either increase or decrease the vertical room on the lower shelf. Assembly was straight forward, easy, and came with all the hardware and tools necessary for building. The overall footprint is narrow so if you are like me and need a space saver in a hallway door location this bench is skinny enough to fit in a narrow hallway and still open a door. The top bench is actually perfect to sit on and put your shoes on without having to bend over and balance. The extra storage bin below the seat portion is perfect for small items that you might want to keep out of site but need when you are on your way out the door.One star off for 2 reasons. First, this bench for a small assembly is on the slightly expensive side. You can find other alternatives that are similar that are not as expensive. The second reason for a star off (and another reviewer touched on this with his delivery) is the damage control isn’t that great for shipping. I’m not sure if mine got damaged in shipping or it came from the manufacturer this way but for the upper shelf there was a large crack in the wood. Luckily it wasn’t that long and I was able to put it face down so you don’t see it and shoes are not that heavy so I don’t have to worry about the crack getting larger but it shouldn’t arrive damaged.

This is a really nice shoe bench. It is well made and seems very durable. The shoe bench was really easy to assemble and only took a few minutes. Everything lined up as it should, without any issues. Once assembled, the bench is very sturdy. The rubber wood has a really nice look to it. I also like that it is a sustainable material. The 2 shelves offer space for several pairs of shoes, which I really like. I also like that the middle shelf can be removed to accommodate boots. The storage compartment under the seat is nicely designed. There is plenty of space to store daily items out of sight. I also love that the dividers are removable. The hinge system for the seat is amazing. It is solid, and I also like the tension system. It can stay open at any angle, so there isn't any worry about it slamming fingers. Came with a few missing pieces.
I really like this shoe bench, and it was easy to assemble, but unfortunately there were a few missing pieces. The three divider small boards to be placed inside the storage area were missing. This does noy affect the usage of the shoe bench itself, but it would have been nice to have. It is a very study piece and the leather cuhion top is very classy looking. The hing is made to keep the top open and also makes it easy to open and close. There are adjustable feet on the legs in case you have uneven floors. As mentioned before, I do like it.
