BEST gift I have ever given to someone

Bought two of these( a year ago)... LARGE for my 6'1" father and SMALL for my 5' MIL...Father is 85yo and MIL is 91yo(both w mobility issues).. Before buying this chair they were using slouchy recliners with hard to move swing handles..ugh...I bought these chairs as Christmas gifts in 2024 and I'm hear to tell ya they were well received and now used/enjoyed daily..Firm, yet comfortable chair with infinite positioning that allows them to nap comfortably.....My father never really napped in his old recliner...He now sleeps in this chair every day for hours and feels great when he wakes.The control is easy to learn and the lift mechanism smooth.The features are comparable to a $2000 plus chair..If you have read this far, just buy the chair.. I can promise you won't be disappointed..I researched chairs for about 2 hours before deciding that this Mccomb chair was the best bang for my buck. Don't let your loved one fight you over "spending the money" and "i don't need it".. This chair is WELL MADE and life changing for the person who needs it..Both my father and MIL insisted they didn't need a chair,yet were ecstatic like a young child at Christmas when they sat in it...And a year later? Both are absolutely in love with their chair as it gives them independence...Makes me happy to see them happy..EASY to put together with NO tools.MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT SIZE CHAIR!!...the height charts are in the listing.

Excellent Company - Wonderful Chair!

I'd originally purchased this chair for my aging mom. She has mobility issues, severe osteoporosis, a crush fracture of one one of her vertebrae, scoliosis that is now beginning to twist her spine (due to the osteoporosis I believe the doctor said) etc. She loves this chair! She is about 5'4" and weighs 98 pounds. I purchased the small chair, and it is perfect for her. My brother and I have been caring for her, and let me tell you, this chair has been a game changer. She can now get up from sitting with much more confidence and somewhat less pain. My brother and I are also a bit more relaxed about her sitting and standing on her own. Let me tell you, she is adamant about doing everything on her own!I love this chair - so much so, that I purchased one for myself. I'm 5'1" and, let's just say way more than 98 pounds. I'm in at 140, darn it. Anyway, for whatever reason, I purchased the medium chair for myself. I should have purchased the small, but this one is still perfect. It's not too big, my feet go where they should when I'm reclined - but when I'm sitting in the chair while it is in it's 'home' position (not reclined in any way), my feet do not hit the floor. But that's been the case pretty much all my life so not an issue for me - just normal. But remember, this is on me (operator error). I was even able to try my mom's chair first, and I knew the small size was correct. The choice of medium was my fault.I purchased the burgundy color, and it is beautiful - a deep rich color. I love all the reclining options, and the fact that the part where your head is can also be moved forward or back is brilliant! I can recline to ease my back, move my head forward, and I'm still able to watch tv! It's great. I've had 2 hip replacements and years ago a back injury. Occasionally I get pain in my hips and lower back. I put that down to prior issues, aging, and the fact that I like to whine. Anyway, this chair and it's different positions supports all my achy painful parts. Add in the massage and the heat that this chair has - heaven!This company though - wonderful! When my chair first arrived, in 2 boxes, I found that one box was damaged. When I unboxed it, the base of the chair was also damaged. I don't know when the damage happened - at the warehouse where the chair was originally living, at one of the warehouses where the boxes are transferred from one truck to another, when it was placed in my driveway off the truck - no idea. Regardless, I contacted the company through Amazon, and this company, within a few days, shipped me a new base for my chair! I had sent them photos of the chair base showing the damage. They didn't ask me a million questions, they didn't give me a hard time - they were so polite and the new piece arrived so quickly. I can't say enough good about them. It was a pleasure to deal with them.If you're on the fence about purchasing this chair, get off that fence! This is a great chair and a great company! I normally don't give reviews - clearly it's because I'm lazy (hence the purchase of the chair), but I had to put in this review.

Excellent post hysterectomy hub

This chair has been my bed and recovery hub post hysterectomy. Came by FEDEX in 2 lg boxes (1 is 100lbs) and had it in a few days. My young adult son and his friend assembled it easily. Instructions are easy and helpful. The regular size is perfect for me 5ft4in or larger avg adults. Only when sleeping (I curl up some on my side, stretch and inchworm my way down somehow,) do my toes touch the end of the expanded footrest. When sitting slightly forward in the chair, my feet hit the ground as they would in a normal chair. If short legged, the provided pillow can help provide a bit of lumbar back support with feet touching the floor. Play with the controller and it will be easy to work in no time. No legs dont go up and down on their own button. Instead they come up with the down feature for the chair from standing to sitting. Legs go down with the up feature as it transitions to lift mode. The back is recommended to be fully up before using to lift mode. It can be adjusted for more recline once you're back in sitting mode (before legs come up.) When legs are fully up, I like that I can go one more click back to feel like I'm cradled or stay the one click forward to eat or do things without slouching. The included pillow makes a few different possibilities in comfort and support possible as well. I got this a few days before surgery and didn't play with the chair other than to figure out the main remote for movement. I was honestly kinda scared to use the massage function immediately post surgery, since I have internal soft tissue fragility. The heat was the first thing I used and it was perfect for my back or when on my side. The massage was independent of heat, but when I clicked it on, it came on all areas. I quickly clicked areas I didn't want to turn them off. The legs function being independent of thighs was great and there were a few ways to change the percussion to feel like I was getting more. Both the heat and vibration work great through the waterproof cover I bought for the chair. I can't bend forward for many weeks/ a few months still and moving has been slow, at first I was in so much pain and exhausted so anything getting circulation to legs helps against clots not to mention restless legs. I have since used a few of the other massage areas and it is nice to have something getting vibration through to my neck and back since I am achy, yet can't get my weekly therapeutic massages for awhile. The cost for this chair at @$800 with tax etc was a bit of an ouch factor, knowing that I didn't plan on needing it in a few mos. Renting a bed or chair was similar cost. Other family bought lazy-boy recliners ($$$$) for hip surgeries and even our non electric recliner was dbl $ for the fact that this has so much more functionality. That being said, being as it isn’t a chair in the thousands, I can handle it being less smooth and more clicky in movement. Understand I never used a lift chair before and don't have anything else to compare it to other than our reclining couches and family's pricy recliners. The remote features are pretty smooth, but especially going into the lift mode or other transitions a normal chair doesn't do, there is a thing that happens that I can only describe as clicky. I don't feel like it will break or is uneven, even when I get in it unevenly; it is just different for me. Neutral slate/ gray color is nice. Like I said, I did get a cover, but that is to protect it from me and my leaky icepacks etc. Fabric texture is soft, I think it would be easy to clean in a normal situation. I love the cupholders, usb ports, smaller than expected footprint in my room. Will def be keeping it as a normal recliner if I don't wear it out.
