Metal Stackable Stools Set of 2, 18" Backless Round Barstool 'Chairs'Our 3-season Adirondack summer family camp is, of course, very short on space. The Dining table is usually set for 6 - and the 6 full-sized dining chairs crowd the dining nook. There is room to expand the table with an added leaf - and now with these stools - serve 8.But the really nice thing with these - we can stack and stuff in the nook corner when not needed. No way could we do that with 2 more full sized chairs.I will admit I was surprised by the cost when I first saw the listing. But after comparing with similar padded and durable listings, saw that while costs might vary +/- 25%, it wasn't 2-3X Now after final assembly, I no longer have an issue with the cost. These are not going to buckle or bend under you. They are Solid.Assembly is securing 8 Allen bolts and their washers into helicoils in the seat bottom. Start by hand - it is easy to get them cross-threaded. Though you get an Allen wrench - life is easier with a drill-driver. Note the bolt heads are extremely soft. You can cam them out if you over-torque. But you get a spare bolt for each.When done you will have a very sturdy 'chair" ( and at the correct 18" height)5 stars - started with a bit of a value proposition issue - then changed my mind after assembly.Supplemental dining 'chairs' for space -tight Adirondack Camp.
