Truly Modern Coat Rack Is Perfect Size for Small Entranceways. See Photos for QC Issues.

I’ve reviewed EZIVIEZ coat racks before, and the ones that are advertised as modern don’t always fit that description. Most are simply standard coat rack designs made of metal instead of wood.But this EZIVIEZ coat rack is truly modern. In fact, it’s a modernist coat rack you might find in a building designed by Corbusier!It has a spartan, winter-tree look that I really like.And unlike previous models, this one fits in my tiny entranceway.All EZIVIEZ coat racks require assembly, but this one has parts lettered A through O. The last EZIVEZ I reviewed had parts from A to S and looked so complicated when I received it that I put it aside for a few days before mustering the patience to assemble it.But in this case, I don’t think you’ll have any problems putting the rack together.Another advantage to this coat rack is the plastic caps that attach to the branch-like pieces where you’ll hang coats. The caps have to be pressed in, so there’s no chance they’ll fall off. That’s important because, without some form of cover, the metal branches would terminate in sharp hollowed edges that could hurt people as they passed.So far, I’m incredibly happy with this coat rack.The marble base is gorgeous and the metal pegs for hanging coats are stylish and unobtrusive.And now for the cons.1. My coat rack was missing one of its eight “branches” for hanging coats (see photos). This seems to be a common issue with EZIVIEZ products. If the company were internationally known and had an easily accessible website, you could contact them directly and they’d happily send you your damaged or missing part.Sadly, this is an obscure company with no contact info on Amazon, and if you try to message the company about a missing part using an Amazon form, you’ll be redirected to Amazon customer service, where you’ll be told your only options are to return or replace the entire product.To do that, you’d have to dismantle the entire coat rack, take that heavy boxful of parts to UPS, and be sent an entirely new coat rack to assemble, which likely would be missing *another* part.I’ve written to Amazon requesting they implement non-redirecting contact with companies when this sort of issue arises. Who knows whether they’ll ever implement such a change.So in the meantime, know what you’re in for should you decide to purchase a coat rack from EZIVIEZ: the way in which missing part issues are processed creates more issues.2. Some of the parts arrived discoloured (see photos).All of the parts are white, since that is the color that matches my entranceway. That means the stains are especially noticeable.Fortunately, they can be lessened considerably with a scrub sponge and water, neither of which will damage the finish of the paint.All in all, this would be a five-star coat rack without its quality control issues, and without the draconian return policy that makes those issues unresolvable.But even with those issues, my coat rack deserves four stars despite its missing branch. The materials are solid, the capped metal branches are a great safety solution and I absolutely love the design.
