Just what I needed to make my recliner easier to "recline".

After having a complete hip replacement I was finding it difficult to reach the handle on my recliner. I wasn't able to stretch as I usually would due to the surgery. I am only 5'1" so my arms are not very long. This extension tool has been a life saver. No more having to call the hubby over to help me put my feet up in my recliner. Slip free grip and easy to install! I would highly recommend this helpful tool.

Very strong

My only complaint is that I would want it to be about2-3 inches longer, as it's difficult for me to reach the handle due to the over-stuffed arm of my recliner. Other than that, it works great. I do suggest to re-tighten the screws after using it the first time in order to make sure it's as tight as can be so the handle doesn't slip. I have a tapered handle on my Lazy Boy recliner, so I keep the included Allen wrench in the pocket of my recliner to check that the screws are tight weekly. If it were a little longer, it would definitely deserve 5 stars.

This Has Been A Big Help To Me

I really don't have a problem reaching my recliner handle by myself, and when my dog was a puppy it was not an issue. She would jump on my lap and I would reach the handle and recline and she could sleep between my legs on the footrest. However lately my 9 month pit bull puppy still loves to jump on my lap, and when she does that now, she pins me to the chair such that I can no longer reach the recliner handle. So I went looking for an extension, and I liked the shape and padding on this one. Installation was easy. I do keep the tool that it came with next to my chair incase I ever need to tighten it, but so far I haven't had to use it. Now, with her big body sitting on me, I can't reach the original handle, but I can reach the top of the foam extension without a problem and recline the chair so that she can still lay on the footrest. I'm showing her here without me, but usually we are both on the chair. This really made a difference for me in my everyday life, as now I can more easily recline the chair. So far it's sturdy (not loose anywhere) and fits my hand well. To me it's brought great value to my daily life.

Extends the reach of your recliner handle

This handle extender is sturdy and is also adjustable. It was easy to assemble but I recommend loosening the screws but don't remove them entirely because trying to thread the screws can be a little difficult once they are removed. This definitely made a difference in making it easier to reach the handle.Only downside is that the foam does not fit snug to the handle so it moves when pulling on the handle. I may end up removing it. Overall, I am pleased with the construction and usefulness of this product.
