Outstanding Drafting Office Chair! Very pleased!

This wonderful chair arrived yesterday and I quickly assembled it. It went together perfectly and without issue. All parts were carefully packaged and everything needed was included.It is amazingly comfortable! Some reviews mentioned a forward tilt to the seat, I found nothing of the kind with mine. Perhaps they installed the seat mechanism backwards.What I particularly loved is the deeply padded seat with lots of depth at the front, behind my knees so there is no pressure there at all. The foot ring is smaller, but this too is a positive for me because I use a foot stool under my desk to support my feet and posture and didn’t want the foot ring to hinder me from getting close enough to my desk. It doesn’t. In another review someone mentioned extra holes in the ring; if you look at that reviewer’s photo you can see they installed the foot ring upside down, so be aware of that. The instructions show you how to install it correctly.It rolls easily, so the casters are adequate.The arms are slightly padded, but are not PU leather so they won’t wear out either. They are a very firm but slightly padded plastic material.It’s a good looking chair, not overly large but ample in size to be comfortable. I am very pleased!! Actually, this is my second drafting chair for my studio and I love it even more than my first one and I REALLY liked that one too.

As comfortable as the $800+ chairs

I am a UX designer. This means I spent hours and hours at my desk. I stand and sit and sit and stand and sit even longer. I've worked in environments with chairs that I can sit in for hours and not 'feel it' and chairs that make me unable to work.It is incredibly important that I can put my focus on my work and not think about my back or my butt or my legs. Just... WORK!Once upon a time, I worked at a digital marketing agency and had a chair that I would spend 5+ hours nonstop sitting in and not feel it. That chair was nearly worth 1k. This chair is comparable in many ways and it's not anywhere close to as expensive.It is sturdy. If you follow the directions, the screws and everything else go in exactly right. The foot ring can be adjusted about a foot in distance (higher up or lower down) depending on your needs. I set it up in less than 15 min.As a side note: the ability to move the arms out of the way makes it so I can alternate between working at my computer and playing my guitar.I love this chair. It's perfect for my needs and worth every penny.

Nice chair. Squishy/springy at first sitting .. I guess that will work out with time. Kudos on build quality, but for $200 bucks, you'd expect a good design and build, and high quality fasteners. Kudos also for including some extra fasteners. With everything done so well, with this higher-end product, it's shipped with an assembly tool which costs less that three cents ($0.03) in bulk domestically. A "T-handle" would have been nice, for this level of build quality, and more likely to be stashed rather than lost or discarded, when some re-tightening might be necessary as the chair is used over time. Otherwise; would have been five stars. As for comfort and stability, I highly recommend this product. I'm 6'0" 175#. Cheers!

Well made and comfortable

Nice, solid piece of furniture. Simply assembled with uncomplicated instructions and a single Allen wrench (supplied). Heavy duty metal wheel base, adjustable footrest, and center post are topped off with thick plastic seat (with a comfortable cushion), seat back (with stiff mesh support), and padded armrests that swivel back. The height of the armrests are not adjustable but are at a comfortable height for me. The entire seat and back assembly tilts backwards with adjustable force or can be locked in a forward position. Adjustable seat height more than tall enough for my drafting table.

Should have listened to the mid-level reviews

Frankly, this chair sucks.Pros:Looks nice enough, except for the weird fake chrome accents all over I didn't really notice in the pictures.If you're Taller than 6'1 this will probably be comfortable.The back support isn't awful, nor is the butt support.Easy enough to assemble.Cons:Seat seriously slants forward, I'm always sliding down.My feet barely touch the floor, and I am tall. 6'1. Due to the angle and minimal size of the foot rest, I can really only put my feet on it at the tallest position.The tilt control knob is a joke, I'm not even sure it's really attached to anything. It has worked like 2 times in the 3 weeks I've had the chair, and even then you can't really lean back much because the seat slopes forward so badly. Suppose that's fine if you're 100% of the time studiously working while sitting, but forget about relaxing to watch a funny kitty video or binge a Netflix show etc.It's pretty creaky, and for a new chair that's troubling. I will add some grease and see if that helps, but honestly it sounds like plastic and not much you can do there.It wobbles a bit at the tallest position, which isn't great when you're drawing on your rising desk and trying to keep a steady hand.The stock casters are garbage. I spent $30 on here for some better rollers, immediately made an improvement, but also it was $30 more dollars into this thing.Overall, unpleased. However, I am too lazy to disassemble and pretty sure I tossed the packaging already, so I am stuck with it. That's close to $200 bucks that could have gone towards a better chair, but I was being cheap and impatient, and I got what I deserved.Don't make the same mistake I did.
