A Perfect Cloud sent from heaven! Full size mattress review.

I've been sleeping on my Perfect Cloud Ultra Plus mattress for two and a half weeks now, and I absolutely love it!However, there are a few pros and cons to this mattress.First of all, I'd like to begin by saying that I was wary of buying a memory foam mattress. I love a soft mattress, but all of my friends who have owned a memory foam mattress said that it was very hot to sleep on, and they were usually very firm. What drew me to this mattress were the claims that it was both soft, and cool.My old spring mattress had to go. I'd been looking at other mattresses for a few weeks but the ones I really wanted weren't quite in my price range yet and I couldn't bear to sleep on my old mattress another night. Springs were popping out. It was old. Lumpy. And I was getting terrible neck, back and shoulder pains from sleeping on it. In a desperate moment I settled on this mattress. I do not regret my decision one ounce.I bought this mattress in Full size so that I could put it over my old box spring. It came well packaged in a heavy duty cardboard box and vacuum sealed in a thick plastic. As soon as I began to cut away the plastic it folded out to it's full size. I thought it might take a while to fluff out fully again, but within a minute it was ready to lay on.The mattress is exactly as advertised. It's cool when you lay on it and doesn't get unbearably hot like other memory foam mattress. But MOST importantly, it was SOFT. This mattress really is plush! It has enough give to be plush, while also being firm enough to offer a comfortable balance of softness and support. I sink in just a bit when I lay on it. Maybe and inch or two. But just that little bit is enough to make this Perfect Cloud heaven sent! Tears literally came to my eyes the first time I crawled under the covers of my freshly made bed. The experience was just that good. I'd almost forgotten what a comfortable mattress felt like after my old spring mattress. As I mentioned before, there are a few cons, that aren't a huge deal, but they do leave me wishing I could only give this mattress a 4 and a half star rating. I absolutely love it and do not regret my purchase at all. I definitely want to make that clear. But this perfect cloud may not be perfect for everyone depending on your sleep needs and room set up.So my biggest issue with this mattress is that despite the offered product measurements, it is slightly smaller than a standard full size mattress. It is smaller than my old box spring, and as I am very tall, my feet hang over the edge of this mattress, which is quite annoying. So if you're tall like I am (6 foot plus), the full size may not be the best mattress for you if that would bug you. Try to order a larger size if you have the space and the money. I eventually had to kinda set up an extra space at the head of my mattress so my pillows could be half on the top end, and half off, resting on something else, just so I could sleep with my feet on the bed. The problem is, the slightly smaller size means it moves on the box spring, creating a gap that my pillows slip down into. So I'm pushing the mattress back into place pretty much daily. My other main problem with the mattress isn't so much an issue with this mattress itself, as it is an issue with every memory foam mattress. One thing my friends didn't tell me is that, Memory foam mattress can be difficult to move on. When you step on it, you'll sink down to the bottom. If you try to crawl across it, again, you're going to sink. It feels like I'm trudging through heavy mud or something. It's difficult to get out of if you aren't right by the edge of the mattress, and for me, I have weak wrists, and the sinking action of the mattress when I try to crawl on it puts extra pressure on my wrists making it easier for me to injure them. It's the same if you try to walk across the mattress. Stepping up onto it from the floor, you sink down into it and it's just harder on your knees in general. This is mostly a problem with the layout of my room, as I have a dresser near the corner of my bed that makes it so I can't really walk between them. Instead, I crawl across the corner of the bed bed, and sometimes, walk over it, and it is definitely harder on my joints in this regard than my old mattress was.And lastly, 2 and a half weeks later that new memory foam smell is still a bit of a problem. I understand it'd slow production down a bit, but couldn't they air the stuff out a bit before they assemble it? It's not too bad. When I first had it I was able to leave my window open which helped it from being overpowering. But now that it's cold I have to keep the window shut and I definitely notice it when I come back if I've been out of the room for a while.Overall, this mattress is fantastic and worth every penny. The chronic pains I was having were noticeably better after my first night of sleeping on it, and were completely gone by the third day. The Perfect Cloud Ultra Plus Gel-Max 10 inch memory foam mattress really does alleviate all of the problems older memory foam mattresses had. If you're in need of a new mattress, you definitely can't go wrong here. This mattress offers high quality comfort at an affordable price. Though I learned from this experience in the end, there is no price too high for a good night's sleep.

Great Mattress!

I had bee sleeping on an almost 20 year old full size mattress and box spring with my girlfriend for a while now and would wake up and sound like a tree cracking and popping in the wind so I decided it was time to start looking for a new mattress. I had not really been looking into mattress until this time and was kind of under the impression that all of them were 800+ dollars and all needed a box-spring and mattress. To my surprise I found memory foam mattresses and some of them were less than 600 dollars (kind of important as I am a low income college student). I looked around for a while and decided for my price range a ten-inch queen memory foam mattress would work just fine. I ended up coming back time and time again to the Perfect Cloud UltraPlush and the Atlas, I went with the UltraPlush, because you get 3.5 inches of actual memory foam over the Atlas's 3 inches (plus i liked the cover better). It arrived in a pretty decent sized box that had some weight to it, I was alone and live in a second floor apartment so I basically rolled it up the stairs myself. After I got it to my room i made the mistake of opening it before I put it on the bed frame. Since it is memory foam and is condensed it will shoot open and instantly start expanding when you remove the plastic which I found out the hard way. After I wrestled it on the bed-frame (platform bed-frame I also got off amazon) I let it expand for about eight hours which it does recommend and it filled out just like it is supposed to to at least 10 inches in height. With my mattress I definitely noticed a smell, it's kind of that generic foamy smell I didn't find it bad just noticeable. This being said my room is not very large and only one of my windows is able to open at the moment. When I slept on the bed I didn't notice the smell, but when I would leave the room and return I definitely did. This lasted maybe a week or so and like I said was not horrible by any means. My girlfriend and I have been sleeping on the bed for about a month now and really love it. It starts out pretty firm for the first week or so, but as it starts to get broken in it does soften up in my opinion. We are sleeping right on the cover it came with and i wouldn't say it is cool or warm just pretty neutral. I like sleeping with a fan on even in the winter for noise and airflow anyways so this did not bother me. I noticed right away I prefer sleeping with just one pillow as opposed to two and on my back more with this mattress I sink in about 1-2 inches (I weigh about 145) and basically pass out there and don't end up rolling around to much until closer to when I am going to wake up. I did notice for a little bit I woke up with my back feeling slightly sore, but that has gone away and actually my back feels great. No waking up popping like a tree in the wind any more. Even after a month the bed returns right back to its full form after every night. I have not tried to remove the cover and wash it yet, but I expect this won't be the easiest thing ever to do as it goes around the entire mattress and zips on the bottom front. All in all this mattress is great for the price and if you have the money and are sleeping on a crappy old mattress would definitely suggest this one!

Looks and feels great so far...

Well, my initial review is 2 thumbs up! Unpacked it yesterday and after figuring out first what side was up, debagged it and let it expand. 8 hrs later, not quite to 12" but close enough. Slept well last night sans the constant repositioning with my older 10+ yrs Tempurpedic which had lost enough support that I was having to turn over nearly every 2 hrs. I think I turned 2 times last night.I usually sweat a lot w/ the T- pedic but nit last night. The bed feels truly medium firm- there is no perceptible endpoint as you settle in- it just cradles just right. There is no motion transfer, although it is just a little harder to move around in that the T-pedic.no odor. At all. I bought a bamboo mattress cover as well.Big question now, will it keep its support as long as the Tpedic, which, to ve fair, really only got uncomfortable in the last year or 2. Oh, BTW, the sag and failure in the T-pedic is not covered by the warranty, and this bed, too, despite the 25 yr warranty, does not cover localized sag less than 1.5" compared to average surface. It covers failure, delamination, or failure of the cover. ( I think the T-pedic was warranted for a sag of 3/4"- problem is, the loss of support is only apparent when you are in the bed. Once you are out, it looks like virtually no sag compared to the average surface even though you can definitely feel the difference down the middle where no one sleeps). Don' get too hung up on the warranties for these beds. More later after I have used it awhile
