It is not white. And while sides are off white, top is clear completely different tint. Almost yellowish and looks dirty. I did not even open it all the way to test to durability. Because color was way off from the description.
I really like this storage ottoman! The black velvet color is stylish, and the hollow inside compartment has a lot of space for storing items. It is a comfortable enough seat to use when you're having a party and not enough regular chairs, though I don't think it would be ergonomic for using as a regular seat.I put this ottoman in my living room and use it as both a side table and storage next to my Ikea Poang chair. It's the perfect size for that and I love knowing I have extra seating for those big game nights so I can invite one more person than I used to! It's nice to have a multipurpose, versatile item like this in a small space.The instructions for putting it together were simple, and it can be easily assembled and ready to go in less than 5 minutes. The sides are not totally solid - I believe it's wood staves encased in canvas in a polygon shape, which appears circular from the outside - but it is definitely stable enough for a person of at least 200 pounds to sit without anything going awry.I use the inside to store pens, postcarding supplies, and other craft stuff, and it can fit quite a good quantity of things in there. It's very handy.The list price of $45.99 seems just a tad high, but I guess everything is getting more expensive these days. I am sure I will keep and use this item for a long time in the future, so I suppose it is worth the price.

This ottoman is incredibly easy & quick to assemble. The materials are quality made and durable. It's very sturdy once put together.I like that this storage ottoman has a metal base. Most similar items do not have the sturdy metal base that this product does.It is the perfect height for a footrest or table. Just flip the lid for your preference.This provides a good amount of storage to help keep your room decluttered while making your items easily accessible.I highly recommend this storage ottoman.
