Nice, solid wood desk with two drawers.

I purchased this wood desk with two drawers for use in a small home office.The item arrived well packed and took less than 10 minutes to assemble.There are four legs that require two bolts per leg that you attach to the four corners using the included hardware.The desk is attractive and functional and the drawers offer a decent amount of storage space.I am subtracting one star as one of the legs had gouges and pieces of wood missing and the damage did not happen during shipping and is a quality control issue.

Pros and cons...overall a decent value if you avoid darker colors

This small desk arrived quickly and in good condition. The box itself was in great condition, though some of the components had scratches in the finish from the manufacturing or packaging process. Straight out-of-the-box at least half of the legs and a couple of places along the table top had Mars or scratches in the finish. I would think this would be less of an issue on a more natural white finish, but the walnut finish exposes these flaws quite easily. Luckily for me, have some wood stain correction pins that can cover these areas fairly effectively.That said, during normal use I do expect more of the finish to be scratched easily and I anticipate the need for touch-up occurring many times during this desks lifetime. That is pretty much the extent of the negative criticism. This was about as easy to assemble as you can get. Simply affixing the 8 bolts through the four legs and tightening yield to you a usable desk in less than 10 minutes. The desk itself is quite light and easy for one person to move. The two small desk drawers are useful for relatively small items.I included some pictures of the various marks on this desk. The desktop itself had a fairly deep ridge along the grain that may get worse over time. At this point, it is not too noticeable and I am hoping the split will not get worse if we avoid too much moisture or putting too much differential weight on either side of that small split.This is "solid wood", but it is many pieces of solid wood that are joined to make larger pieces, if that is an issue for you. At this point, I would highly suggest going with a lighter color to ensure these kinds of issues are less obvious to the naked eye. The desk legs we're quite easy to tighten with the attached Allen wrench, and the desk seems quite solid for as light as it is. For the price I'd prefer fewer issues with the finish.

This is a premium quality SOLID WOOD desk! No MDF here! LOVE IT! It holds 450lbs because it is truly solid wood.It is a mid century modern desk with a fluted drawer front. Gorgeous! The coloring is a medium walnut brown that is stunning. It is a PERFECT size for a desk, a study, a cove table, dining table or makeup table. It is very easy to assemble by applying the legs (8 screws total) along with felt feet just in case.Well engineered desk - no wobble at all. Stable and sturdy. It is beautifully finished as well with a surface that isn't super shiny or dull - just a perfect furniture beautiful surface. With the top at 39.4" long and 22" deep, it is designed to fit in just about anywhere - a very versatile piece of furniture. It is priced as a great value! Most of the "furniture" in this price range is MDF cardboard furniture - very impressed with the value! Highly recommend!
