Unexpectedly great!
What I was looking for was a foldable cardboard dresser a la the early 90s, but what I bought was this. It is the significantly better in every possible way successor to that line of thinking. It's lightweight in the same way as those things were, but much sturdier, and certainly more durable. For the price, the quality of the materials and the design execution was better than expected!I liked the metal frame. The powder coat finish on it was very clean. In fat, even the welds on the frame were nice (not beautiful, but nice.) There were some nice little design features on the frame that I don't typically expect in cheaper furniture, like cross bars and a little dip to hold the drawers in a little more securely when pushed in. I had no issues with hole/nut alignment at all. It went together fairly quickly for me.I liked how quickly the drawers went together. Just unfold, drop in the bottom, attach handle and go. One thing I didn't like about the drawers is only the fronts are a matching color. The rest of the drawer is grey. I would have liked for it to have been in the same color family, as you can see little flashes of it here and there.The fabric surround is a bit tricky to get on, and the instructions around the "slides" could be better. I left mine in, and used the included screw driver to poke holes as necessary for the bolts. This part did require a little bit of fooling to get the holes to align, but that really does make sense to me. Take the time to align it with the included allen wrench and the feet will go on pretty easily. One thing I don't like about the final look is the back is just grey fabric. It would have been amazing if the whole outside had been the neat orange color!The size was fantastic for my smaller space. The dimensions listed are right, but how that feels in person is sort of 3/4 sized. However, because much of the space of the dresser isn't eaten up by slides or wood supports, you actually get quite a bit more storage than a similarly-sized wooden dresser. I liked that it wasn't as deep as many dressers on the market and didn't protrude into the room to block travel lanes, as it were.Others have mentioned a smell, there's a bit of a 'new car'/fresh hay smell, but it's not overwhelming to me. It's not even as strong as real new car smell. Maybe that was an issue previously, but it wasn't for me. And I'm very anti-odor, so I would be one to notice.I can actually see hanging onto this for a very long time -- the metal frame could easily be repainted or re-coated to match future upholstery ideas, and I believe that the draw fronts and bottoms could be replaced with thin wood or the same sort of pressboard they are now. That said, I don't know that it would stand up to truly rough usage all that well, but if one is using it gently, or for seasonal storage/craft storage where it isn't being used all day every day, it should work well for years to come.

Light, durable, and stylish — literally the perfect dresser
I’m honestly so happy I bought this dresser.My husband and I have just started furnishing our house and we’ve been looking for some durable, but affordable, furniture to design our room with. This dresser just fit the bill for us because it was light, but looks so clean and modern. I’ve already had so many friends ask where I’ve gotten it!On top of that, the drawers are much bigger than I expected — I can fit a bunch of jeans and sweaters in there and they still slide smoothly. The top shelf is surprisingly pretty durable so I can keep a candle, vase, and some books on top. And the wooden handles are a nice touch to make the whole look feel so much more luxurious.Putting it together was super easy too!
