Beautiful, sculptural lounge chair!

This is a fun and funky chaise lounge chair. With all the pads and footrest removed, the lounge is very sculptural and looks like a piece of art! It is made of foam and arrives compressed into a very small but heavy box. It is 65" long and 20" wide so it will fit kids and most adults. My hubs is 6'-5" and it does not fit him comfortably in either length nor width.The upholstery is a wide-wale courduroy that is very soft and comfortable. The rich black color is very deep and luxurious. Laying on it with your bare skin WILL make you have vertical line-indentions on your legs, so beware of that! On the sides of the lounge, the upholstery has some folds/wrinkles which make it look like the cover doesn't quite fit the shape of the chair properly. I have moved them around and waited for the foam to expand fully but they are still present. For this reason, I took off one star.The corduroy fabric does also attract lint/dust/fur. In my case, the latter is the problem. If you have a light color dog who sheds, you might consider getting a lighter color lounge because the fur does stick. It is relatively easy to remove with a lint brush or rubber brush but the beautiful black fabric of this particular lounge is like a magnet for the fur from my two yellow labs. I have moved it to a room that they don't go into but it still somehow gets covered with fur!The chaise is very comfortable to lay upon. It is supportive and firm. Some people may find it to be too firm but I like it. The variety of pads and pillows that it comes with allow you to configure it in a wide variety of shapes and sizes to fit your body. The pad at the head has two large strips of heavy duty velcro to hold it in place which is helpful, as it would otherwise slide up/down. The movable pads also allow it to be very flexible so you can change positions on it easily for watching TV vs. reading vs. working on a laptop. All the pads are separate pieces which are fully upholstered so they can be moved around without showing an unsightly "back."There is a large pocket on one side of the "top" part of the lounge for magazines, remotes, laptop, tablet, etc. which is very convenient. I love that the covers can be zipped off and laundered! This is a huge plus. So much that I considered adding the deducted star back on but ultimately decided not to.I'm not sure about the manufacturer's proposed use of the lounge for yoga poses. However, I can see that it would make a fun addition to the bedroom. There are companies who sell furniture very similar in configuration to this lounge intended to enhance intimacy.At $245, I think this lounge chair is a good value. It has flexible uses, is a beautiful sculptural piece of furniture and can be easily cleaned.

Great for readers

I’ve been sitting on this when reading books, and it’s so comfortable. I love the firmness of the foam. As soon as I start to need to adjust, I can switch to a different position or configuration and be comfortable again in seconds. On one hand, I want to say I wish it were a tad longer, but also I don’t, because I suspect if it were longer it wouldn’t fit as easily into the spaces I can place it. Right now it lives under my bedroom window where I have plenty of light to read by. However- because there’s not much support for the shoulders, neck, and head, it isn’t a chair you could nap on unless you were fairly short or had the back against a wall where you could add additional pillows. Or if you slid down and let your feet dangle off the end. But as for reading, it’s great. Many looking at this may have other activities in mind for it so I’ll add that it does have configurations and angles that would be helpful for other activities I won’t mention. It’s lightweight and I was able to drag it to relocate it (I left it on the plastic it comes in so I could get it through the house easily). The only downside aside from the length is that it does attract pet hair. I decided to cover it with a bedsheet. The rounded neck cushion is held on by a strip of hook-and-loop. The half-moon shaped low-back cushion can be turned upward or placed down under the bottom depending on how you want to sit. Very handy, quite sturdy, and looks great.
